About Dr. Shapiro

Dr. Shapiro is vice-chairman of researchfor the department. He is an active research is both the clinical and translational arena focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of Sepsis. He currently holds an RO1 from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute at the NIH studying the role of "Endothelial Cell Signaling and Microcirculatory Flow in Severe Sepsis."
