About Dr. Donnino
Dr. Donnino is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the Director of Critical Care in Emergency Medicine, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). He is also the Co-Director of the Cardiac Arrest Center. His clinical practice spans emergency medicine and medical critical care. Dr. Donnino is the first person in the country to complete a combined emergency medicine/internal medicine/critical care training program (Henry Ford Hospital; Detroit, MI) leading to board certification in all three disciplines. His research focuses mostly on septic shock and post-cardiac arrest, and his research group at BIDMC spans both the emergency department and ICU. In addition, his group is part of a national consortium focused on post-cardiac arrest clinical research. Dr. Donnino is a member of the AHA national ACLS committee, the group responsible for writing and maintaining national guidelines. He has published over 35 manuscripts and his research is funded/supported through multiple sources including the AHA, NIH, Laerdal Medical Foundation, Harvard Medical School, and Harvard Catalyst.
