For Patients: Preps for Procedures

Before you have a colonoscopy or related procedure, you need to flush out your system in order to get the best results. Any residue may obscure the view of your colon, and the whole process may need to be repeated.

When you schedule a procedure (a colonoscopy, EGD, flexible sigmoidoscopy, etc.) you will receive detailed instructions explaining how to properly prep for your procedure.

Colonoscopy Prep Instructions

This is the standard magnesium citrate prep that is recommended for most patients. Please confirm with your doctor that this is appropriate for you before beginning any procedure prep.
