Pathologic Analysis and Supportive Studies
BIDMC gastrointestinal pathologists have extensive experience in the study of biopsy and resection specimens to delineate a variety of inflammatory and tumorous conditions affecting the gut, pancreas/biliary tract and liver. Pathologists provide key analysis and determination leading to specific diagnosis and stage of inflammatory and tumor diseases, detection of precancerous lesions, and monitoring of response-to-therapy.
