H.E.A.R.T. of Bowdoin

By: Jen French

"Bowdoin Street Health Center is proud to introduce an innovative approach to health promotion and disease prevention. We now offer on-site and youth-centered after school program.

H.E.A.R.T. (Healthy Eating And Recreational Training) of Bowdoin  focuses on core elements of developing healthy lifestyle choices, along with specific activities centered around the importance of daily exercise and the value of a balanced diet. It is our mission to work hand-in-hand with youth to encourage their own personal health, and to help them spread this message of overall wellness into the community. H.E.A.R.T. participants are given individualized case management services, as well as provided with a safe, group atmosphere in which they can share personal struggles and successes in their effort to lead a healthy lifestyle..
