Farmers’ Market

July 2008 marked the kick-off of the Bowdoin/Geneva Farmers’ Market. Last season, we had hundreds of customers and offered a variety of produce. There were never enough cinnamon twists! Bowdoin Street Health Center, The Food Project, local business owners, residents and agencies teamed up to form the “Food in the Hood” committee to explore opportunities to provide access to healthy foods for the community. Geneva Cliffs: An Urban Wild

When most people think of an Urban Wild, or a nature trail, they don’t actually think of the city, or the neighborhood of Bowdoin Geneva. But, we do in fact have one! Since 2006, the Friends of Geneva Cliffs, a group comprised of residents and local agencies, including Bowdoin Street Health Center, has been working with the city, N-Star, John Rhyther, a landscape architect and a contractor Alpha Masonry to bring about an important change of scenery in their neighborhood. New Doctors Join Bowdoin Street Health Center

Dr. Giovanna Leddy and Dr. Hernan Delgado are the newest addition to the team at Bowdoin Street Health Center. Dr. Giovanna Leddy, an internist, has joined the health center’s practice as a full time physician who will see adults of all ages.  Dr. Leddy received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Vermont and completed her internship and residency training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston. The Heat is ON!
