Shapiro ExteriorThe Biologics Clinic is located in the Carl J. Shapiro Clinical Center on the 9th floor located at the corner of Brookline and Longwood Avenues. This photo shows the front of the Clinical Center. The parking garage is located at the back of the building on Binney Street. 

 

 


Shapiro InteriorSporting maroon blazers, concierge staff members stand ready to help you at the information desk in the main lobby of the Shapiro Clinical Center. They can tell you how to get to our clinic and may even escort you!  Located at the information desk is the cashier where you pay for parking before returning to your car.


If you stand where this photo was taken (entering the Shapiro Clinical Center from the Brookline Ave entrance), the elevators are on your right across from the information desk. When entering from the Longwood Ave/Binney Street entrance, you must walk up a flight of stairs or take the elevator to the lobby. If you have parked in the parking garage, the elevator will take you directly to the lobby. The elevators will be across from the information desk on your left.

There are chairs and couches in the lobby, as well as a Souper Salad restaurant. For more food options, the Longwood Galleria and its food court are across the street with many options including Subway, Dunkin Donuts, Sbarro, McDonalds, and many more. Off the ElevatorsWhen you exit the elevators, you will see the waiting room directly in front of you. Walk down the corridor, alongside the windows. The entrance to the waiting room is on the right.

Waiting Room DeskMake sure that you check in right away with a receptionist at the front desk. Even if you are early, they will let the physicians know that you have arrived. 

 

 

 

PhlebotomyOnce you have checked in, you will be called by one of the phlebotomists to have your blood drawn. After your blood has been drawn, you will return to the waiting room until the time of your appointment.

 

 

 

ExamHallA receptionist escort you to the examination room where you will first see a nurse. The nurse will talk with you and take your vital signs to understand your general health status before you are seen by the physician. There is a computer in each of the examination rooms so that a nurse or physician can quickly look up your medical record and record the information from your examination and discussion.
