A Leader in the Field
BIDMC participates in a number of collaborations such as the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group, and the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group, and is a founding member of the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center (DF/HCC) – Harvard’s National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center. We collaborate extensively on clinical trials with the DF/HCC.
Our team of compassionate caregivers includes highly experienced and skilled surgeons and physicians who are thought leaders and innovators in their respective fields. Beth Israel Deaconess physicians are nationally recognized for contributions to the future of brain and spinal cord cancer through their innovative treatments, research, clinical trials, publications and society leadership positions, as well as training Harvard Medical School students and providing graduate medical education.

Extensive Expertise
Physicians are board certified or eligible in their areas of expertise, with appointments at Harvard Medical School – all indicators for the best quality outcomes. Our registered nurses and nurse practitioners have extensive neuro-oncology expertise.
Consultations
Our core staff consults with medical oncology, oncology social workers, oncological psychiatrists, interventional radiology, primary care physicians, our palliative care team, rehabilitation, pain management specialists, and oncology nursing as needed.
Collaborations
In our multidisciplinary brain tumor conference and clinics, our team collaborates to discuss your particular cancer and the best treatment options for you. In our clinic you will see all your necessary cancer specialists in one location, for convenience and ease. We can usually arrange an office visit for evaluation within one week, and when necessary, admit you directly to the medical center for immediate treatment.
