Commonwealth Hematology-Oncology, PC (CHO)

CHO and BIDMC have joined forces to create a new model for cancer care in eastern Massachusetts that combines community-based practices with the advanced cancer care resources of an academic medical center. Beth Israel Deaconess Cancer Care at Beverly Hospital

North Shore residents can access enhanced multi-specialty cancer care in Beverly as the result of collaboration between BIDMC and Northeast Health Systems (Beverly Hospital and Addison Gilbert Hospital). Patients are referred seamlessly to BIDMC for additional treatment options when they are not available in the local community.

Commonwealth Atrius Cancer Center

South Shore cancer patients now have the added benefit of an affiliation between Commonwealth Atrius Cancer Center (CACC) and BIDMC. BIDMC cancer physicians provide on-site physician-to-physician consultations and patients have ready access to BIDMC specialty cancer services when needed. CACC, a collaboration between Commonwealth Hematology-Oncology (CHO) and Atrius Health, is located at the Weymouth Woods Medical Center.

Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center (DF/HCC)

BIDMC and six other Harvard-affiliated institutions have joined forces to create the largest comprehensive cancer center in the world. Funded by a grant from the National Cancer Institute, the DF/HCC consists of more than 1,000 researchers with a singular goal – to find new and innovative ways to combat cancer.
