BIDHC-Needham

BIDHC–Needham, established in 2004, is a highly accessible, comfortable and personable primary care practice. Our community health center features eight dedicated primary care physicians (PCPs) who are closely affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham, which is located just two blocks from the office. Our Needham doctors have close relationships with the hospital's medical doctors and are very knowledgeable about its new and expanded services.

BIDHC–Needham is open Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The practice offers full lab services that are open to all BIDHC patients on a walk-in basis. The lab facility is open Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Dr. Frank specializes in weight management. Practice physicians have a special interest in women's health and diabetes. We also have a gastroenterologist on site for consultations on Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Some physicians on staff speak Creole, Spanish, Portuguese, and German for individuals whose first language is not English. This practice participates in the After Hours Clinic located on site and can be reached at 617-754-0616. Patients of this practice can be seen on Saturdays and Sundays for acute issues at BIDHC’s After Hours Clinic. Appointments for the After Hours Clinic are coordinated through your on-call physician. The clinic is open Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Individuals looking to find a new primary care physician (PCP), family doctor, or doctor of internal medicine in the Needham area are encouraged to contact the office. Please bring your medical records to the first appointment and call your insurance plan to ensure that they will cover services provided by this practice.

Please call 617-754-0600. An answering service will page a BIDHC affiliated physician who is on-call throughout the weekend and after hours if urgent care is needed.

For patients requesting insurance referrals, please provide us with the following information:

• The patient’s name and date of birth.
• The specialist’s first and last name, as well as the phone number to his/her office.
• Please also inform us of the reason for your visit to the specialist, along with the date of the scheduled appointment.
• Also, please be sure we have your current medical insurance information.
