General Surgery

Research within the Division of General Surgery at BIDMC has grown tremendously in the last few years. Our clinical and basic science research programs are investigating  treatments for various cancers including colorectal, endocrine, and thyroid, and more. In addition, our investigators are working to understand novel treatments for pancreatic malignancies, how gastric atrophy occurs, and safe nutritional and bioactive regiments for the prevention and therapy of various cancers.

The surgeons and investigators in the Division of General Surgery are all engaged in research aimed at improving treatments for general surgery patients. To learn more, click on the investigators names to visit their research pages.
