The division of podiatry offers four specialized care programs that offer diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment, and all associated services for the full spectrum of foot and ankle conditions.
Reconstructive Foot Surgery
The
Reconstructive Foot Surgery program offers evaluation, treatment and ongoing management of common foot conditions.
Diabetic Foot Center
The
Joslin-Beth Israel Deaconess Foot Center was the first center in the U.S. to document a significant reduction in the rate of lower extremity amputations among diabetic patients with foot ulcerations. The center set the standard of care across the nation for this common complication of diabetes.
Podiatric Sports Medicine
The
Podiatric Sports Medicine program brings together a team of podiatrists, physical therapists, orthotic technicians and nurses to treat common sports-related, lower extremity conditions in the competitive athlete, as well as the weekend warrior.
Wound Care
The
Wound Care program provides a multifaceted spectrum of services related to preventing, treating and managing lower extremity problems.
