Neel Shah, MD
Dr. Neel Shah specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, with clinical interests in safe pregnancy and childbirth, wellness and prevention, pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding, and laparoscopic surgery.
While working with patients, Dr. Shah maintains an open line of communication: “I became an ob/gyn because I enjoy listening to my patients and getting to know them in the office while also being there for critical moments in their care, ranging from surgery to childbirth.”
In addition to his work at the hospital, Dr. Shah is also the founder and executive director of Costs of Care (www.CostsOfCare.org), a nonprofit organization that helps patients and their caregivers deflate medical bills. His research (http://scholar.harvard.edu/shah) focuses on health systems innovations that make childbirth safer and less expensive.
When not at work, Dr. Shah can be found cycling, skiing, looking for new music to listen to, and spending time with his wife, Julie.
