National Recognition

Congratulations to our skilled and devoted clinicians, nurses and staff for once again being cited by US News & World Report as one of the Best Hospitals in the US for 2011, ranking 3rd in Boston overall and 33rd in cancer care nationally, advancing 13 places over last year. BIDMC is ranked as one of the top 50 hospitals in eight clinical specialty categories, including cancer and "high performer" in an additional five clinical specialties, .

Only 140 of the nation's 4,825 hospitals performed well enough to garner recognition in even one specialty. This places BIDMC in the top 3 percent of all hospitals nationally.
