Safe Sex during Treatment

Posted 5/10/2016

It is rather surprising that this topic does not come up more often. Is sex safe during treatment? Do you need to worry about blood counts and exposure and infection risk? The quick answer is "usually not" , but it makes sense that, if you have been advised that your blood counts are low and you should avoid crowds, it probably is also a good time to avoid intimacy.

Much of the time, this takes care of itself, because most of us do not have a raging libido at the same time that we have declining counts.
