What do you think ultimately made you choose BIDMC?
When I first arrived in this country, this was my first place of employment. While obtaining my education, I maintained my employment here. After graduation, I worked at various other places, however I settled here based on the friendly environment, respect amongst the staff and the overall stability.
Of the reasons you chose your profession, which are accentuated by working at BIDMC?
Respect for my fellow man, my desire to provide excellent service in whatever capacity, the ability to make a difference, and to collaborate and work as a team.
What do you find most rewarding about your work that is unique to BIDMC?
Simply the ability to make a difference in the lives of our patients.
Generally speaking, can you describe your ideal workday?
When a patient with low expectation calls or shows up upset, feeling like they have been passed from one area to the next, and then leaves my department or hangs up the phone feeling satisfied and impressed knowing that he or she has been served by a real professional. I believe these types of results derive from the emphasis placed on customer service and the need to be compassionate to our patients by the Medical Center and the Radiology Department heads.
