Bios

Jennifer Babineau is the manager at the Tanger Be Well Center. Jennifer was the founder and president of B-Fit Professionals, a corporate health and fitness consulting company for over 12 years. Jennifer has continued her pursuit of providing quality wellness programs and services to the employees of BIDMC and community organizations. Jennifer earned a B.S. in Health and Fitness from Russell Sage College. She is an experienced Health Educator, Personal Trainer, and certified Group Exercise Instructor. Jennifer enjoys golfing, scuba diving, and spending time with friends and colleagues.

Carine Corsaro has been working as an Exercise Physiologist since graduating from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a bachelors degree in Kinesiology. She is a certified health fitness instructor from the American College of Sports Medicine. Some of her specialties include training members who have diabetes, heart disease, and working with pre and post surgical bariatric patients. During her time at UMass, she worked closely with cardiac patients and the geriatric population. This included patients that were in physical therapy, cardiac and pulmonary rehab programs. In her spare time she enjoys listening to music, kayaking and watching football. Go Pats!

Marlene DaCosta is the assistant manager at the Tanger Be Well Center and has over 17 years experience as an Exercise Physiologist. She holds a B.S. in health education and exercise science from Penn State University and a M.S. degree in Education with a concentration in Fitness Management from the University of Connecticut. She is a registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist and certified health fitness instructor from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). She enjoys working with individuals that have a variety of conditions including osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, arthritis, HIV and other special needs.

Rick DiScipio holds a B.S degree in Sport and Movement Science from Salem State College and a M.Ed. in Organizational Management from Endicott College. Rick is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Association of Sports Medicine, and a Post-Rehab Conditioning Specialist through the Academy of Health, Fitness and Rehabilitation Professionals. Rick is a former competitive powerlifter at the regional and state level. He has worked with athletes in improving athletic performance as well as working with seniors in post-rehab programs.

Michelle George is a health and family educator. She is responsible for delivering and implementing employee wellness programs throughout the BIDMC community.  Michelle has developed and lectured on a wide-variety of wellness programs such as stress management, parenting techniques, conflict resolution, and time management. Michelle graduated from Florida State University with a Master’s degree in family relations and human behavior and a Bachelor degree in child development. She enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family. 

Althea Lawrence is the administrative assistant and oversees all aspects of the office and the fitness facility. She has been with the Tanger Be Well Center for five years. She holds a B.A. degree in Management-Economics and Sociology from Emmanuel College and a M.M. degree in Management from Cambridge College.  She enjoys reading, travelling, spending time with loved ones and watching a good movie.

Jane Manwaring, Office Assistant, joined Be Well as a volunteer in 1998, having taken ‘early retirement’ from Boston College, where she was Assistant to the Chairperson in the Department of Psychology. She came on staff at Be Well a year later and now works part-time, providing a range of office assistance and Front Desk coverage. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Wisconsin.
