Our Facilities
The institutional merger of Beth Israel and Deaconess Hospitals in 1996 created one of the top academic medical centers in the country. However, two separate physical spaces still remained – the original Beth Israel campus, now called the East Campus, and the original Deaconess campus, now called the West Campus.
Just across the street from one another, the East and West campuses house specific services at each location. In the event that a patient needs to travel between the two campuses, a shuttle bus is available at the Feldberg Lobby entrance of the East campus and the Clinical Center Lobby of the West campus, and runs every 20 minutes.
Making Your Way Around BIDMC
The east and west campuses of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center are composed of multiple connecting and non-connecting buildings. If you are unfamiliar with the Medical Center, we'd like to get you acquainted as best we can. To help find the location you are visiting, we recommend entering through the main lobby listed below and asking at the information desk for specific directions to the subsequent buildings/areas.
